I don't even know where to begin. If I could give this place a 0, I absolutely would a million times. Eckerd is the perfect example of a "non-profit" (more like corporate) organization that completely fails the social work field and gives social work a bad rep. It is the most toxic work environment you will EVER work in and I'm not kidding when I say this place is the WORST. There are so many unethical things that happen every single day. Day, not year or month, but day. And guess who suffers? the kids. People that work here are literally here for a paycheck and it doesn't get better when you look at the higher ups, they're the worst. HR and management doesn't exist. You file a complaint, it goes into a dust drawer, literally nothing you say makes a difference. The few employees that genuinely care are completely burnt out and depressed and let go/forced out. This is the most hypocritical org I have ever worked in, the trainings go over everyone's head. I was constantly in trouble for being "too nice" with the kids.
If you care at all for your sanity, don't even think of applying here. I wish someone had told me that before working here. Now I'm left with months of emotional struggling and burn out.
This is also probably a quarter of all the stuff I want to say but can't because of a minimum character count.
