Pros

The biggest pro is changing the lives of young kids who may have otherwise not gotten the support and love they needed to realize they’re more than their circumstances.

Cons

LOTS of paperwork. For every moment working with a kid and helping them through a tough time, there’s at least twice as much paperwork that needs to get done.

Pros

The training is excellent. It thoroughly prepares you for the rigors of the job and everything you can expect. Once you start, there isn’t a person at the company who wouldn’t do everything they can to help you and offer their support. It’s a great environment and one I look forward to continue working in for years to come.

Cons

Surprisingly, there’s not much diversity among the senior managers. In my opinion, this needs to be rectified.

The company’s trainings is one of the best I’ve ever sat through. I learned even more than I already knew, especially about conflict resolution. Usually, these things feel like a waste of time. But not this one.

Cons

The hours are long. If you’ve never worked at a nonprofit before, the workload might shock you at first.
