      If you’re passionate about helping kids… this is the place for you!

      Pros

      If you’re the kind of person who’s genuinely interested in working at a nonprofit, then half the battle is already fought and all you need to know is that this is one of the absolute best, especially if your passion is working with and helping kids. We help give in-need kids and their families second chances that literally change their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding work, and the #1 reason I get out of bed every morning.

      Cons

      Not a “hand holding” environment. If you can’t do the job, and constantly need help, you won’t last long. It’s tough, but the work we do is too important (and there’s too few resources) to allow for mistakes.

      Pros

      A text book example of what an ethical company should be. Young adults are receiving the guidance needed to become productive professionals one day. Employees are treated with the respect they’re due. I have always been equipped with the tools I needed to do my job.

      Cons

      Some micromanagement, but most of the time you’re given free reign to do your job without too much overhead interference.

      Pros

      A good mission that you can get behind. Paid well enough for the work that we do. It’s a pleasure to work with the kids directly and try to better their lives over time. As long as you approach Eckerd like you would a career and not a job that just pays the bills, you’ll excel and thrive.

      Cons

      Recent changes at the upper management level have left many employees with a feeling of uneasiness. My prediction is that the company will get back on track once things settle down at the top. We just have to ride it out until then.
