Pros

Most employees are pleasant, building is nice.

Cons

They are trying to gain a foothold in a very competitive market and do not appear to have the resources they need to stay the course. The product(s) are not the best and some use outdated technologies. There have been frequent layoffs where employees were told it was not performance related but simply a reduction in workforce which was followed by hiring another high level executive. Nepotism runs rampant there as does an affinity for ex-military personnel. The entire upper Management are close friends or ex-military buddies of the CEO.

Awful, just awful

Pros

Worked with some really great people, who unfortunately have the same outlook. This caused a lot of negative (and hilarious) "water cooler" talk.

Cons

EdgeWave has been, and most likely always will be the laughing stock of the cybersecurity industry. Email solution is OK, but still gets beaten out in deals by competitors that actually take part in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Web security solution is 20 years behind. You're better off having nothing in place. It can't even stop a 5th grader from going to a porn site. The Huawaii firewall... well, it's a Chinese firewall. This is the United States, and China is one of our biggest adversaries when it comes to cyber warfare. When you are trying to sell a Chinese firewall to a company in the US, how do you think that deal is going to play out? Oh yeah, and I think they fired the only person that knows how to install them.

Pros

Most of your colleagues are nice and helpful and even fun to work with. Products are pretty good for the most part.

Cons

Executive management. I'd love to go into more detail, but it's just as simple as saying that Executive management is the reason for all cons associated with Edgewave. Nepotism runs rampant and quality employees and leaders have been run out as a result the CEO and CFO not understanding what it takes to grow a business.
