If you've worked for a reputable company before Egnyte, avoid it at any cost!
Pros
- A very good product. - The team in the UK office are super nice and friendly.
Cons
- Completely lacking internal processes, as a standard and straightforward quote takes on average 3-5 days to get created. However, a not so standard quote took about eight weeks to be generated! - US HQ completely disconnected from the UK leadership and hardly listened to them. - Mis-sold me the role in terms of the territory, types of accounts, methods of selling, the resources and support offered by the business etc., to be surprised that none of that was even close to reality! - If working in an honest company matter to you, avoid working here for your own sake: Egnyte offered a ramping quota program that I hit (which is only 10% of the total quota, and you get your OTE for the month). However, the customer figured out a bug in the product and requested a refund. The US HQ tells me this bug is because this feature is bought from a 3rd party library (while it's advertised on the website as their feature) and refunded the customer without allowing me to notify the customer that it's a 3rd party library. What Egnyte did then, five months later, they came to me drawing back the full OTE offered as part of the ramping quota rather than simply drawing back the commission of the opportunity that got refunded due to them not being honest about their offering in the first place. Communicated the issue to senior management in the US, but it all landed on deaf ears. - Absolutely no sales or product training.
