no future beyond a constant struggle to survive

Pros

Lots of nice people trying hard to make the company successful. They reward hard work.

Cons

This company is always in Startup mode, without any possible success in the future. The company's plan is only about trying to make (never actually succeeding) this quarter, this years numbers. The managers are yes men to the the exec staff. Those on the exec staff are only concerned about their own resume building and bonuses. If you are offered stock options, do the math. The company has been struggling for so long the share are incredibly diluted.

Pros

The company has some great technology, and the office culture is friendly and inviting.

Cons

For a company that makes software to help other people build software faster, you'd think the management would put 'building our software better' as a higher priority than it is. The CTO doesn't do his job; sales and marketing dominate leadership, and nobody on the executive level actually uses their software. Cargo cult thinking dominates. There management:engineering ratio is something like 1:3.

Pros

Some really good people - friendly, inviting, hard-working. Really well made products. Benefits are good.

Cons

Market appears to be shrinking and fragmented. EC has 2 products not 1. High management turnover - all exec staff in past few years. "Dictator" leaders create blame culture. Individual sales are celebrated too much too long and way overanalyzed. Company focus changes all the time. Used to be a "Great place to work" but that is now gone.
