Pros

The company is great overall, but it depends on where you are and who you report to. Some teams and leaders within PE/HR are excellent and some are just not great at all.

Cons

The current leaders on the People Relations team have made it increasingly difficult for PR team members to do their jobs effectively, the way that the work is micromanaged, the insistent scrutiny with reports and the report review process, the constant pressure to turn around cases quickly, it’s not only too much, but it’s disappointing that the team that cares the most about the employee experience, is not cared for, not empowered and not recognized by their leaders.

Pros

Pay and benefits are excellent. Company is well-established and stable. Very friendly to remote work.

Cons

Very little opportunity for growth or innovation. The company is heavily invested in a small number of popular game franchises and rarely makes opportunities outside of those franchises available. Its games are built with obsolete frameworks or poorly-maintained proprietary tools. The company imposes severe restrictions on what projects employees are allowed to work on outside of work. Any personal project that even vaguely relates to the game industry is generally disallowed without special permission from HR.
