Pros

For starting as a tier 1 phone advisor, I was quickly able to advance to other areas in the company. On the social and community team, I've had a chance to work with multiple teams across EA, and enact positive changes to better serve EA's players, and the stakeholders I worked with. Pay is competitive and benefits are excellent. Electronic Arts also involves itself in many diversity and social change initiatives - through their games and office culture - which I find very much a plus.

Cons

The larger a company gets, the more red tape there is - it can be slow going trying to push through new projects or ideas, especially as the tier 1 level. In addition, there was a lot of focus on numeric KPIs, with seemingly little effort to move away from that.

Pros

The atmosphere is very laid back and fun, most of the people you interact with are friendly and helpful. Pay starts off pretty good. The policies in place are great for employees- if you have a sudden emergency it is easy to get the day off, hours can be flexible depending on your position, and you get good experience working on something you're passionate about.

Cons

There is a "hierarchy" where RFT employees are valued more than contractors, and there's a palpable feeling where you are looked down upon as a contractor. It's very, very difficult to become a Regular Full Time employee.. unless you become popular with important people. Getting RFT essentially seems to have to do with just knowing the right people at the right time. You can be very skilled in your area and overlooked easily I did not receive any "actual training" when I first started and i did not know that I was not properly trained until my contract was almost over. Hours can be very long (sometimes until 2am) depending on release, but it's expected.

Pros

I've only been here for less than a year, but the team has been amazing to work with. The on-boarding process was on point and tailored to my role. Management / team has been really welcoming and transparent about the project and objectives. The work is challenging but rewarding. The perks they offer are really awesome. EA has had a bad rep in the past about taking advantage of employees / crunch / etc... but so far I've yet to experience anything bad. It feels like they really take care of us here.

Cons

Sometimes if you get here too late on Fridays the better breakfast tacos might be gone.
