      Pros

      The General Manager (Mike McCorkell) genuinely cares about employee well-being and actively tries to improve the workplace. Since Mike joined, there have been positive changes, such as salary increases and some efforts to create a more welcoming environment.

      Cons

      The local HR department (Deeside) is extremely ineffective and perceived by many employees as working against staff rather than supporting them. Employee mental health is severely impacted, with low morale across the site. There is a strong focus from upper management on results and profit, with little to no attention to the human side of the business. Employees often feel undervalued and expendable. Overall, the company lacks a healthy balance between performance expectations and employee care.

      Pros

      You can find some amazing people from different business units who can be helpful. The non-executive finance team in the London office are the friendliest bunch of people in Element.

      Cons

      Low salary, and there is no bonus unless you're in management. Some managers lack the technical skills to lead advanced technical projects, resulting in inadequate direction and the failure of key projects.
