      Pros

      I prefer the local health plans. More personable and small enough to care. Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of members. Pay is industry comparable

      Cons

      New hybrid work model. Limiting opportunities to those that live near an office. New systems are creating more work for front line. Systems riddled with errors. Unstable and chaotic environment. Multiple layoffs.

      RIF Redeployment Services Are a Joke

      "Sub" pay for being RIFed is decent.

      Cons

      Redeployment services are lip service only. We were told that we would work with someone 1:1 who would be searching job openings, reaching out to recruiters and hiring managers to advocate for us. Absolutely NONE of that happened. The only person doing that was me. I had one 30 minute call with a redeployment person who quickly gave me feedback on my resume. She never answered any follow-up emails and only sent me some cut and pasted communications. Redeployment is designed to save the company money if they can fit you in somewhere else rather than hire someone new. That begs the question why I (50s white woman) lost my job at the same moment they hired a younger white dude to do the same exact job on my team.

      Good pay and benefits in the company

      Cons

      Elevance Health has a lot of layoffs going on all year. Working there is knowing people versus retaining associates that do a great job. Management also needs to learn how to manage people. I could keep on going, but I won’t!!!
