Pros

Annual Incentive Plan Tuition Reimbursement/Health Club Reimbursement/Monthly Travel Stipend 2 days a week work from home 4 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave

Cons

Work culture is toxic. No opportunities for team building.Management is aware of the issues but their only goal is cost cutting. Vendors are given prominence over Full time employees by management and when things go wrong Full timers are blamed for the failure. Knowledge is not shared across the team.Only handful of people know the business/functionality and they are expected to work 24/7. No career growth opportunities. No work life balance and people are in meetings all day long.

Decent Company to Start Your Career

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Fortune 40 Company High Expectations for Results Decent Flexibility and Autonomy depending on your role Great for an early careerist to learn what it means to work in traditional corporate culture

Cons

Not the place you want to spend you entire career... Poor emphasis on people, diversity or transparency about what is going on at the top Money is the highest priority, even when they flies in the face of professed values Not a very innovative environment Culture embraces the status quo, purchases talent from the outside instead of investing in the current workforce Overall, doesn't prioritize growth and development of current associates beyond what is needed to "keep the lights on" and get the task done. If you want to be developed, you have to manufacture that development, because it isnt part of the culture or an expectation of people leaders

Pros

Worked at Anthem for 20 years. I worked in many different departments and was given many opportunities to succeed. I was paid well and had a great working experience,

Cons

Moved to another state to start up a department, within 6 months after moving the position was eliminated. Leaving me looking for a job in a new state with no contacts
