Cons

Not many cons. There is no 401K match but that’s expected at a startup

Pros

The entire company is aligned around the idea of making a strong positive impact on our customers and partners. This in turn leads to a commitment to have high-quality products and outstanding customer service, and the by-product of this commitment is rapid growth and winning in the marketplace. It is very motivating to work in this kind of environment where there is recognition that wining in the long term can require taking time to do things right in the short term. The company's CEO and leadership team are highly accessible and supportive to employees when they need feedback or guidance, and are constantly looking for ways to maintain the positive culture while building on the company's success.

Cons

Very few. Each team is expanding its headcount and working to scale processes, so while this is challenging to manage from a leadership perspective, it also affords each employee and team tremendous opportunity to suggest new ideas, take the initiative on projects, take courses to develop new skills, etc. I have experience working in and with numerous other startups, and Embark is doing a better job of managing its growth, taking care of employee concerns, and remaining focused on delivering value to its customers than most other companies I've seen.
