      Pros

      Clear mission to improve canine health. Product is based on well-established genotyping technology, scientific knowledge and a commitment to providing the most accurate results possible to customers. Friendly, skilled co-workers. Everyone loves dogs! Flexible time off.

      Cons

      Lots of great ideas but prioritization is important for a startup so there isn't always enough time or resources to do everything. Most employees are in Boston but some teams are based in other locations. No 401K matching yet.

      Good work/life balance Friendly atmosphere Meetings are not overly frequent and are very well-managed Tech stack is good (node, python, AWS) Some tech debt, but code quality is very high overall and coworkers are smart and really know their trade; great place for a dev to work Interaction with remote offices (e.g. Ithaca) is relatively seamless Current office space is small but honestly not too cramped Company has actual revenues and a plausible growth plan

      No 401k match (though this is common to many companies) Must wait 3 months for 401k to start

      -Flexible and well-managed unlimited PTO policy -Management gives lots of responsibility, doesn't hover -Lots of room for learning and growth -Very flat organization -Supportive and kind coworkers -Solicitous of ideas from all to solve challenging problems -Great culture

      Cons

      -No 401(k) match (in process?) -Never the same, day to day; Not a place to put your head down and not be noticed
