Pros

Did get paid on a regular basis with basic benefits as GHI & HIP were union shops -- that is all the good I can say for them.

Cons

From the corner office to the mail room -- one idiot after another no one wanted to institute change since it was a union dealing with union accounts -- the distrust from each corner was unbearable. In addition, institutional racism, was alive and well, women of color fared better than men of color but the glass ceiling was always present and would crush you if you were a thinking human being.

Good Company Going Through Bad Times

Great benefits as compared to most companies.

Cons

The Affordable Health Care Act and cuts to government funding have this company "bleeding red". The have brought in consultants to help cut costs, and have offered early retirement for some. There have been some layoffs as well, with rumors of a large reduction in staff to come. We have been told the next 3 years will be difficult ones.
