Pros

Good benefits (although not if you live in NJ) Good PTO time Decent pay Generous bonus Tele-commutting available depending on area

Cons

EHS is not the ideal work situation for people who are creative, strategic thinkers - EHS is very much stuck with a feudal mentality in their thinking and management style Systems are not merged so really doing 2 projects for every one and implementing changes for 3 health plans Systems are very old and some are manual whereas as others are newer - no uniformity Information lives in siloed areas where either few have knowledge and do not share or the knowledge left with the people who left Very top heavy management-wise - for any decision, no less than 4 senior level managers are necessary Project progress is VERY slow and arduous - too many procedures and they change all the time Change is not encouraged Reality is not encouraged - management seems to think IT projects can be done in one day and PMO does nothing to change that thinking Tele-commuting is not encouraged for employess - we are headcount and seat fillers and management makes sure we know this - Management walks around to see who is physically here and who is not PMO is very cliquey - if you are not one of the favored then you are treated as a leper New ideas or opinions are not encouraged - how else can the embittered keep their jobs Performance reviews are not fair - only a few people in each area can be labeled as outstanding, otherwise, even if you have done great work all year, you are always Meets Management does not support their people No accountability or responsibility Consultants lack skill set or basic skills to do their jobs yet take 4 hour breaks Communication from management is non-existent - I learn everything about the company from Google or the New York Time/Daily News People that try to implement new ideas, last maybe one year Management rules with an iron fist

Sometimes certain departments can have cliques that is shown blatant favortism. Some of the employees have horrible work habits that cause the company to change their policy.
