As a New York based health insurance carrier with a long history of serving New Yorkers, the company has great potential to both win and succeed. With Karen Ignagni as EmblemHealth's new president, hopefully we will.

Cons

For years the leadership of EmblemHealth has been 'detached' from its employees (and their members.) There is little company pride because of a lack of trust among the top management team and it's employees, which has served to strain the already poor lines of communication. Sadly, too many in managerial and leadership roles have no people skills and or business acumen.
