      Pros

      Great lab manager and coworkers. Equipment is kept up. The vascular surgeons trust my work. Nice Christmas bonus and party.

      Cons

      Sometimes the ER orders late exams to be done. Sometimes upper management can get too picky about things and should leave us to do our work.

      Pros

      Busy, teaching facility, learn a ton, takes new graduates, NP/PA providers are great to work with, self scheduling (huge plus!).

      Cons

      Frequently short staffed, lots of travel nurses, no consistent management, no security (semi-rough area/ patient population), do not have equipment needed to properly do job.

      Pros

      Great benefits, exposed to a variety of diagnosis, research and some great physicians/surgeons

      Cons

      Not a supportive environment for nurses. My experience was that you were there to further the research for the physicians primarily, the hospital's reputation and the patient's in third. I didn't see any efforts to improve the nurse's work environment, promote a sense of community among the nurses, or ownership or dedication among the nurses to their units, field or the hospital itself.
