Pros
the pay for a director is good super chill work environment, like so chill boss is never there nice office in downtown, great views, no one is ever there so I get to enjoy it myself parking included in salary I could say I'm in the field and drinking wine at home and no one would know I have integrity and have always worked hard, therefore I am leaving this horrible work place
Cons
no clear vision passive aggressive commentary from leadership. Attended a 4 day training in Las Vegas, where leadership said they have new programs coming, want them to be outcomes based, but yet offered no clear picture of what new programs will achieve, how they will be implemented, and what we should do in the interim. Do what you like, what you think works for your market, and we will tell you what to do next is what they said. RVP and Area CEO never around, they don't know what they are doing, we all have to "raise funds" as part of job description, though Im supposed to raise 4x my salary but don't know what the funds go to. They have no kind of cultural awareness let alone cultural competency. How come the two communities that are disproportionately effected by diabetes (African American and Latinos) have programs cut that are targeted for them? How is this responding to the specific needs of this community? Raise all this money but where does it go? how come this is not shared with staff especially if we are supposed to support with raising it? What are the salaries of Area Executive Directors and Regional VP's. Why aren't these made available?
