Pros

Remote work and good benefits. I felt the majority of the lower level staff truly cared for the diabetes community and wanted to put them first (very kind coworkers)

Cons

Executive Team/Upper Management are out of touch with their teams and have exceptions that are unrealistic for the small teams in each market. Horrible work/life balance even in remote setting. Pay is not that great for the amount of work you are responsible for. No training or growth opportunities - they hire from outside rather than help employees grow within.

Pros

- Positive and friendly team - Strong management - Employees are incredibly smart and hardworking. Everyone works together for the success of the mission. - Mission is amazing and it feels good to support those who are fighting diabetes.

Cons

- As with many nonprofits, there are never enough resources. We're always making due with what we can, - Because we are a large org, sometimes it's difficult to maintain communications across departments.

Pros

Easy onboarding For my department, it was a very smooth onboarding experience with clearly structured videos and trainings. As with any onboarding, it is tedious and you don't necessarily retain all of it but I understand why it's required. Decent salary Can confidently say that they will absolutely negotiate pay and will even work with you to find a salary that fits expectations. WFH As someone who has become accustomed to working from home, the flexibility is appreciated and welcomed. The company does like to see teams get together in person and encourages in-person meetings but seems to understand there are limitations.

Cons

Outdated systems Honestly, a pretty bad CRM system is being used but they are implementing a better one now so can't be too upset about it. Poor organization of centralized saved files Biggest complaint by far is how erratically centralized files are saved such as examples of emails/ outreach, access to other markets' files, or the outdated statistics and company info. There is no rhyme or reason for where important documents are saved and how to access them.
