The last couple of years haven’t been easy due to business performance and constraints, and that has inevitably impacted the working environment. That said, there is a strong sense that the organisation understands where improvements are needed and that change is on the agenda.
The business has grown through acquisition, and as a result the culture and matrix structure can feel fragmented at times. A more joined-up, cohesive approach throughout would benefit both employees and outcomes.
Overall the infrastructure needs investment (specifically IT). While this is recognised and on the improvement agenda, it does impact day-to-day experience.
At times, the organisation is trying to do too much. Greater focus (doing fewer things but exceptionally well) would help reduce strain and improve effectiveness.
