Pros
Most of the project team members are good people who will support you in your job. Employees here are knowledgeable and work professionally. There is a good focus on ensuring the safety of employees and subcontractors but sometimes it seems if the goal is to meet performance objectives rather than to actually work safely. If you can work with a good team it is a great place to be but there are many not so good teams.
Cons
Managers are not interested in employee development and will not focus on teaching new skills. On many projects there is an attitude of elitism where head managers will not share information or opportunities with employees. There seems to be a loose code of ethics with many managers trying to get benefits from subcontractors. Senior management is mostly invisible and will not be available to address questions or concerns about the company.
