Pros
Upper management understands the work-life balance. Although I’ve had to work the occasional Saturday, I’ve never been questioned when needing to leave early for a family emergency, doctors appointment, or sick day. My managers have also worked with me when it comes to scheduling holidays. Another positive is the company structure. They clearly lay out the path to progression early-on, and what they expect in order to move up to the next level.
Cons
Working on larger projects can provide experience working with a big team, and excitement but they also can constrain the amount of learning experience you will be exposed to. Many entry level positions are sectioned to specific trades. Make friends with your coworkers and learn the lessons they have in order to “learn in 1 project, what you would learn in 2”
