Pros
There are some genuinely nice people who work for Boots. I really enjoyed helping patients. The training is really very good with great learning modules**
Cons
Low pay, too much paperwork that is uneeded and only to cover their backside. Not enough staff to cover customer demand. You find yourself running retail and pharmacy business with very little support. Dump workload down from HO without any care for the fact you already have a day job to do and customers/patients/staff to look after. Department after department issuing ill thought through deadlines and then they don't understand why the store teams can't meet them. On top of which there are too many training requirements/deadlines pushed to all colleagues on a far to regular basis, this means colleagues do not get the benefit from them and they become a tick box excersise. (as is most of the copius amounts of paperwork you are expected to read complete) many different opinions being offered so you get told to do the same thing several different ways and then get "told off" like a child. During my time there I constantly felt under pressure and that everything you do is never ever good enough. **Although the training is very good colleagues do not benefit from this as they are always bogged down with repeating compliance training so they never get the benefit of the excellent training modules.
