Pros

The mission of the organization is sound.

Cons

So many great people come to this organization because of its wonderful mission, and they go away devastated by the toxic work environment and the baffling decisions of upper management. There's constant reshuffling and moving people around into positions for which they have no qualifications, and there's so much turnover that the company no longer even announces when someone leaves--they just disappear. Upper management does not have a grip on how to motivate a staff or run an organization of this size, and the board seems not to care.

Pros

I appreciate the quality of the published books we provide, which I feel sometimes don't receive enough recognition. These books are not only beneficial for educators but are also visually appealing.

Cons

Workdays can be busy here but with supportive and friendly people around, it could be really fun.

Pros

CRS is an interesting company. You will meet wonderful people who care about making a positive difference in the world.

Cons

However, there are many issues with company. There is a lack of clarity from leadership which will have you bouncing around in various directions ultimately hurting growth. There are zero promotions so be proud of the position you are hired for. Pay is lower due to being a non profit. Do not expect getting a raise. Overall, as you empower students, you (as a staff member) will not feel empowered.
