Pros

The mission is something anyone should be able to get behind and isn't unique, but what is unique is that fact that this company shows real results for their clients and is run by some brilliant people who are focused on long term growth and results. As an employee, you get the Centivo product, which is the best health insurance benefit I've had since the 90s. No deductible, low copays, and in certain markets free visits to your PCP.

Cons

It's a startup. This comes with its own challenges around nebulous roles and responsibilities and standard processes being built as you go. Not everyone is cut out for this type of environment and new prospective employees need to go in eyes wide open.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for recognizing the impact Centivo is making for our members. We work every day to advance our mission and reach as many lives as possible. To support this, we’re continuously improving our process documentation using tools like Confluence, Visio, and Articulate. Soon, all process documents will be easier to access through a new company-wide intranet.

Thank you for your feedback! We're so glad to hear Centivo offers the type of culture and work life balance you value. We are continuously working to improve our communication and have recently held Employee Engagement Focus Groups to do just that. This year we will be launching an all company Intranet which should increase visibility of the key initiatives for all departments and our progress towards them.

Pros

Competitive benefits. Fully remote work environment with good work-life flexibility. Opportunity to gain leadership experience in health insurance operations. Collaborative coworkers who were willing to help one another. Fast-paced environment where you can learn a lot in a short amount of time.

Cons

As a growing company, many processes were still evolving, which sometimes created confusion and inconsistency. Communication between departments could be improved, especially when new employer groups or process changes were introduced. Some teams lacked the tools or resources needed to work as efficiently as possible. Organizational changes and business priorities shifted frequently, creating uncertainty for employees. Advancement opportunities were somewhat limited depending on department and business needs. Overall, I enjoyed the experience I gained and the relationships I built. However, there were growing pains that affected day-to-day operations and long-term stability. If you're someone who enjoys working in a startup-like environment and can adapt to constant change, it can be a good place to build your skills. If you prefer well-established processes and long-term organizational stability, it may be more challenging.
