Upper management allows the quality staff to evacuate via ego and denial - Anonymous employee Cumberland Heights Employee Review

Unfortunately upper management has gone from a long time and competent staff to an even worse ego-driven fear-based and full of avarice staff. Some of the old regime that was led by former CEO Jim Moore were put in the place of power and all the old negative contracts and incestuous relationships remained. This is led to Aura of denial among them and an unwillingness to take a look at themselves and how they manage Cumberland Heights. This has led to the disheartening of the staff and many many fine qualities employees have left to go elsewhere. Most have left not because they wanted to work somewhere else but because they can no longer tolerate the toxic environment created by CEO Jay Crosson and COO Butch Glover. Never has a non-profit board stood by and watched the erosion of a quality facility as much as the one at Cumberland Heights. It is truly a shame to all of us who have put our hearts into this place to experience the level of fear and mean-spiritedness that prevails at Cumberland Heights. With each staff member that leaves it appears as though an inexperienced an unqualified individual is put into their place. Hopefully somehow someday there will be the ability for either the board to recognize this or for the employees to have a venue to speak the truth and be heard.
