Pros

Possibly the chance to work on a popular IP

Cons

Management is horrible, and management is pretty much just the company's owner doling out commands to the leads, whether they make sense or not. Tons of unnecessary work is done because the people giving out the work aren't communicating with the developers that actually have to do said work. The management structure is pretty much a few leads making decisions and about 30 monkeys underneath doing exactly what they're told, with no input of their own. * Average of 55-60 hour weeks for most of the staff (sometimes less for designers). You may also be working on weekends. * No 401k. * Terrible insurance. * Underpaid their employees compared to other local developers, and far below industry average even when accounting for cost of living. * No paid food or drinks. * Vacation? That's funny. You may get a little bit, but good luck finding a time to get that vacation approved. * Parking is only partially paid for, and you'll be driving into downtown Denver and looking for affordable parking, which is blocks away. * The "studio" is basically a few rooms in the basement of an old building, and developers sit within arms reach of multiple other developers. Beware of the good reviews of this company, I've quite literally never met anyone who didn't hate every minute they worked at Dire Wolf. And just to be clear, I wasn't fired or laid off, I left on my own accord and barely escaped with my own sanity. During my time there developers and managers left the company fairly regularly, that alone should be a warning sign for anyone looking to work there.

Pros

Dire Wolf employs some very talented designers and engineers. There is a lot to learn from this team.

Cons

The work is fairly consistent in theming. If you like board games, this is a fantastic place to work. If not, it might be something you get tired of.

Pros

Good company and good people working here. Flexibility with remote work is nice. New projects to work on often which helps with project fatigue.

Cons

Communication up the chain isn't always the best. Personal salary growth is really difficult here.
