...and then you'll realize they are stuck in the same situation you are. This is a toxic environment and you should stay far, far away. Absolutely everyone here is treated as a mere tool to be used and abused by management. They don't care about employee morale (one senior manager has said this verbatim); they only care about how to use you as a disposable tool. This place will leave you feeling drained and used up. Oh, and you'll probably never see any career advancement come from this place at all. There is virtually no room for promotion. Raises are almost unheard of, even when people are promoted. Salaries are usually well below industry standards. If you view this as a potential inroad into the game industry, you'll probably be disappointed; they've released one game that promptly failed, but five years to release one game is pretty dismal. Now, you may dismiss this as a review from a disgruntled former employee, which is true. I am disgruntled. However, most people there are disgruntled and are in the unfortunate situation that it is extremely difficult to to escape from. Between long hours and a psychologically destructive environment, you'll go home and find it difficult to find another job. Due to collusion with some of the other game studios in Colorado, you won't be able to get a job at any of the other game studios. This place is aptly named because it is akin to a tar pit. If you decide to dismiss my review, you do so at your own risk. If you get a job there, you will quickly find that most people there hate it there most of the time. What about those other great reviews? Well, you'll notice they're all from current employees. People were encouraged to write good reviews to counter the negative reviews from former employees.
