Pros

I had a great manager who genuinely recognized my potential, valued me as an engineer, and supported my professional growth. I also had the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects with talented colleagues, which helped me gain valuable experience.

Cons

I always did my best to support the company. I worked on two projects at the same time while officially being assigned to only one, consistently delivered complex tasks on time, and received positive feedback from both my team and the client. When my project ended, I was informed that, due to a change in company policy, I would be placed into the termination process despite my strong performance and positive reviews. That was extremely disappointing. I understand that the IT market is challenging now, but I expected the company to value and support employees who had consistently delivered results. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose trust in the company, and I would not consider returning in the future.

Pros

Offered remote work. Other than that, nothing.

Cons

Incredibly disorganized from onboarding to the recent mass layoffs of both contractors and full-time employees. The culture within the project I worked on was prone to toxic corporate politics, and the guidelines for the work performed were often vague and shifting. I can only assume this is indicative of the larger environment Gobal Logic cultivates, but it's hard to tell as their website includes nothing but word salad around what they actually do or the services they provide. Leadership constantly changed the goalpost meaning no one could truly learn or succeed. The airplane was being built as it was being flown, essentially. New tools were consistently introduced and then changed when it was found they were ineffective and the client was not being given the results they demanded. It almost felt at times as if the project was being internally sabotaged, though I'm not sure what the benefit of that would be. While not a scam, there is no hope of upward mobility, and you can be let go at a moment's notice. The instability and culture of fear they create is absolutely intentional, and you'd be better off working elsewhere for the sake of your mental health. I don't foresee this company having any tangible longevity given how poorly it's run.
