Pros
I have seen a lot of change in the five years I have worked here. Like with any organization, some changes are great and others not so much, but what I can say is that in the last year they have been making a big effort to engage with the employees, listen to their ideas and implement new policies that will make everybody's work day easier. This company is different than most I have worked for. They have a very unique mission and they put their money where their mouth is. When Harvey happened, managers and executives did everything in their power to help every employee affected by the flood. They provided financial and in-kind donations to our people, and even took days off to help our team members clean-up and rebuild their homes. They see the employee as a whole. They worry abouy our health, so they opened a free gym with a full time trainer in site. They understand that life with kids is challenging and demanding, so they offer some flexibility to work from home when the position allows. We have an independent counselor that visits our facilities to help with any personal issue we might be going through... They often organize events to encourage people from different departments to get to know each other better. From potlucks, to participating in a 5k, or even throwing a huge company party where we get to bring our spouses and kids ...I could go on all day.
Cons
The job can be very demanding and stressfull at times, but it is nothing more than what I have experienced at other companies.
