Pros
Few. PTO is ok, but the owners wife says "PTO is a privilege that can be taken away at any time!"
Cons
They treat employees as entirely expendable. Exempt staff are still forced to punch a time clock, working well beyond 40 hours a week, yet if they ever fall short, even slightly, their PTO is docked without hesitation. The owner, a textbook narcissist with the intellect of a rock, makes consistently poor decisions that breed dysfunction and foster a toxic work environment, but demands his ego to be stroked constantly. Never admits he is wrong, rather he lies and says "I never said that". He is completely unaware of the changing landscape of the industry and only does what he thinks was right 25 years ago, same stories, same strategy, same outlook, equals no growth. For God's sake the man has a tattoo of himself on his arm. Nepotism runs rampant, and sadly, intelligence seems to be a family trait in short supply — the apple, unsurprisingly, doesn’t fall far from the tree. They keep promoting one particular family member who can only fail upwards, clueless. ZERO growth in one product line for 10 years, they just cycle through employees paying bottom dollar and getting the same poor results. Only one large customer in the other product line that no one seems to understand or manage. Owner puts all company resources into the shiny new things and ignores everything else. Same with staff, if you are new, you're amazing, but that wears off and he eventually dislikes you because you've figured out he's a joke. They won't even pay their staff that travels, the goverment per diem amount, rather shorting them so they have to pay out of pocket. TURNOVER RATE IS OVER 40% in a good year...
