Pros

Developers: - Smartest people I have met. So happy to help, spread their knowledge, and always smiling. - Strange awe of confidence and happiness always lingering in the dev dept. Management: - They are people you can truly open up to. They are really there to help - does not seem fake at all. - Knowledgeable and has a passion for their work and company. Really motivating. Product Team: - Knows that there are technical barriers at times. So they are always willing to listen to suggestions, receive and give advice, and produce amazing UI/UX. Senior Management: - BI will always be our Commander in Chief - BM will always be our dev wizard

Cons

- I think we ran out of Kombucha.

Pros

Small enough team that people mostly got along. Base salary was not bad.

Cons

Very limited voice. Constant fear of being fired due to how management would interact with you. They did not fully understand who did what in the team. Did not show equal appreciation to all parties involved in releasing a quality product. Alcohol consumption was very encouraged. You would be shamed if you did not drink. Strict 8:30 - 5:30 work day. I am fine with the length of the work day but flexibility of start and end time would have been nice. Benefits were lacking in quality and quantity. That would be fine if the company gave a plus elsewhere such as schedule but it did not.

Thanks for your review. You are right in that cultures can vary from office to office, so we have worked hard to ensure everyone at JA understands our core company culture. This includes all employees coming to Sydney at least once a year to get to know the whole team. In the year since you were there a lot has changed and we are extremely happy with the team we have in the US now. Thanks again for your input and all the best.
