Pros
It was close to home and store closed at a decent hour on weekends.
Cons
The pay was just over bare minimum; pay scale not clear; was not paid at the guaranteed rate. Did the job of 3 or 4 people. Dirty working conditions. Tiny, filthy lunch area. On feet all day, not allowed to sit. No stools behind sales counter to even lean on. Poor training, lack of leadership in management. Other employees don't like the working conditions either; there is much negativity and complaining and not a happy environment to work in. Not enough computers or registers to help customers, lack of customer service or care. Sales people have to check and pull their own stock from tall ladders and high shelves without being strong enough to carry some of the items down, pull items off ceiling if selling from floor, change and hang price tags continually. Constantly running around store to find a computer to use or to find someone if you need any help. I can go on, but what's the point. Terrible conditions and no way to make a decent paycheck!!
