Pros
I worked with the internet programming and the online marketing departments. The place is full of contradictions. On one hand you will find some real good techies here and on the other you will find some real stupid people stuck to the company since decades. The CEO is ill-advised by the tech managers who really don't understand technology. Which means the company doesn't really have a technology vision. If you are a 'yes-sayer' and have a bit of patience to put up with nonsensical management decisions on technology, you shouldn't have any issues as far as job security is concerned. Work-life balance is never a concern here. You will never have to work for more than 8hrs a day - in fact mostly much less than that. They pay decently and also enable you with good hardware so you are productive. The other non-tech departments are good, and I know for a fact that the employees are quite happy there. It's like a family there and everyone has a personal connect with the CEO.
Cons
Middle management in technology teams in this company is really bad. They have survived purely due to their connect with the CEO and not due to merit. Don't expect to grow into doing something else in this company. You will be hired as a developer and you will die as a developer.
