Pros
It is great to see the children, and families that we work with. The impact that case managers have on families is very important.
Cons
Lack of communication, lack of training, lack of supervision, and extremely high turnover. Higher management will prefer to blame the small people than take the heat for their own mistakes, which is typical corporate america. The employees have lack of coordination, and have extremely high case loads. It is humanly impossible for employees to have a life outside of work when working 13 to 14 hrs a day. Also if you get approved PTO time it is often not acknowledged, nor vacation time if they have things that have not been done. They will call you in to work even if its an approved day off. It is extremely rare to see an employee last more than a year.
