Pros

Our mental health team was very communicative and supportive of one another. Our Director, Julissa Miro-Quesada was compassionate, hard-working and dedicated to supporting team members. (From what I understand, she has left the organization, but Veronica and Jennifer are also great). The approach to care is client-centered and strengths-based and further honors clients' cultural background and language needs.

Cons

A lot of mental health clients face multiple stressors, like poverty, language barriers, chronic health issues and/or homelessness. The lack of access to affordable housing and transitional housing for the homeless can be disheartening. Case managers are helpful but this is a larger systemic issue that's hard to address.

Cons

Management/leadership has turned into an absolute tyranny. No sense of proper communication and respect towards staff and treat us like bodies to do the brunt work to make more money. Mental deterioration has occurred exponentially within multiple departments and teams. Many people have left as a result of this. Our patients have been affected and their quality of care has been affected because of the lack of regard for more numbers than humanity towards our patients. This company has questionable origins and morals as well. They promote against uniting staff and keeping staff down like ants. They try to brainwash and promote a type of mentality and that should go against all provider's values.
