Sad layoff - Sales SimpliSafe Employee Review

Thanks very much for being part of the team, it's unfortunate you were affected by this and hopefully you are able to take advantage of the alternative opportunities we are offering for similarly situated team members. SimpliSafe’s headquarters in Boston includes our corporate offices as well as some of our front-line contact center employees. We have seen unprecedented growth in recent years, now protecting millions of people with our products and services. As the company scales, we have to evolve to meet the challenges that come with an increased customer base. We have decided to consolidate front-line customer care functions in our Richmond location, where we opened a larger contact center last year. As a result, we will no longer employ front-line customer care staff in Boston starting in early July 2021. We are currently working with affected employees to help get them another job - with us in Boston, Richmond, or at another company. And all employees are being given options to help them financially, and with healthcare. SimpliSafe remains committed to the Boston area. We added approximately 275 jobs here in the past year and expect to add at least another 150 positions this year.
