Pros

Laying off experienced workers in NY to hire cheap, inexperienced workers in Calhoun. I'm starting to see how this was not a good decision. I really don't see any pros for the employees only for all the VP's they suddenly have. Very little employees left probably saving lots.

Cons

Many of us haven't gotten raises yet our duties keep growing. Funny how the only improvement I see is less than expected. The people that came here are nice and all but it's so true to say by the way they've moved the wrong people The management never have department meetings and ask the opinions of people actually doing the work. Most of them are know it alls New mgt not so good. Keep looking

Hello: It is disheartening for me to know that you are so unhappy. I want every employee that works at STARK to enjoy coming to work, understand they are the reason for our success and to know that they have multiple company channels throughout which they can express their concerns. Since I do not know if you have already spoken to anyone about your concerns I am inviting you today to reach out to me so we can discuss and resolve any issues with the company you might have. My email is cstark@starkcarpet.com If you are not comfortable speaking with me directly, you can always speak with a member of our HR or Management Team. While it is not my intention to diminish your feelings in anyway, I would like to address some of the inaccuracies in your posting. The company is not having layoffs. We made operational decision to move some positions to our Calhoun facility and actually have more employees today than we’ve ever had before! We offered every employees affected by this move the opportunity to move to Calhoun. We also have either helped the affected employees find new jobs within the company or paid out very generous severance. While it is true that we have either hired or promoted employees into a few VP roles, this is normal for a growing company. I am very proud that we are able to promote from within. As far as more management meetings at the local level, you can make that suggestions to suggestions@starkcarpet.com or speak with management directly. While Managers have different management styles I think group meetings as you suggest are a very productive idea, in fact I hold these type of meeting with my direct reports frequently. Finally I would like to note for the records that the company has invested much into employees benefits such as; company paid life insurance, generous amounts of paid time off, company funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan and subsidized medical insurance for all employees. Sincerely, Chad Stark Sr. VP Operations

Pros

Stark has a good reputation within the industry, so most designers will engage... not incredibly hard to get appointments

Cons

The prospecting process is fundamentally broken. While there is a CRM in place, it’s rarely used properly. The showroom manager seldom updates account assignments, and account managers rarely log emails, calls, or meaningful activity. As a result, when someone uncovers an account that hasn’t been touched in years and successfully re-engages the client, another rep can easily claim they’ve been actively managing the relationship all along. The current system disproportionately benefits long-term employees while also reducing the need for management oversight and accountability leadership.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate your recognition of Stark’s reputation within the industry and the relationships our teams have built over the years. I also take your concerns regarding CRM usage, account ownership, and accountability seriously, as a transparent and consistent prospecting process is important to both fairness and client service. We recognize there are opportunities to improve how account activity is tracked and managed, and we are actively working to strengthen accountability and operational consistency across the organization. As an active employee, I’d also encourage you to continue sharing your perspective directly with myself, your manager or leadership team so we can better address these concerns constructively. Thank you again for your honest feedback and for being part of Stark. Best, Chad Stark CEO
