Pros
The founders are all exceptionally bright, hardworking, capable and kind; I feel extremely confident in their leadership. The business is solid. My coworkers are smart, hardworking, and likable. Because Triplebyte is small and fast-growing, I've been given responsibilities that I would not have gotten at a larger companies. I get to meet heaps of cool engineers and learn things from them! I've become much more generally knowledgeable about software engineering since starting to work here.
Cons
Even though Triplebyte's codebase is pretty high quality, writing Ruby on Rails is kind of a pain sometimes. As with any startup, you end up doing lots of tasks that are important to the business even though they're not optimized for being fun. I think this is basically fine; I'm excited to help Triplebyte's business succeed even if it involves doing annoying schlep work sometimes.
