Pros

Flexible schedule, admin has been responsive to feedback when I advocate needs for changes or more support, provides training and professional development. Good opportunity to gain experience in the field. Weekly pay is a big plus.

Cons

Lack of transparency from admin to BTs - I have had to figure out on my own or proactively ask a lot to understand how things work. Also, having no benefits - especially no sick time or PTO - is very stressful. I've had other part-time jobs in the past that allow employees to accumulate a certain amount of PTO per hours worked, so I wish they would at least do something like that. Feeling like I can never be sick or take personal time, and being expected to do make-up sessions for anytime I need to call out, makes this job unsustainable long-term.

Pros

Meaningful Work, We're helping children with autism build communication skills, social skills and daily life skills. This is an incredible field for growth, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a great stepping stone if you're pursuing within the Education Field or becoming a BCBA and even Psychology. We also have entry positions for people who want to start and grow within a company. ABA is in high demand and has incredible opportunities. Don't be afraid to start.

Cons

I wouldn't say Cons; I like to say challenges. Where you can even find pros within the challenge. First, It is Physically and Emotionally Demanding, You must have drive and tenacity. Managing challenges can be exhausting but also meaningful; It builds tough skin. Depending on your role within the company. It requires you to be organized and thoughtful. You must maintain a level of professionalism; which this can also be a great place to sharpen that for yourself. You must learn to deal with volume and work loads must be handled accordingly. Accountability is a must, If you fall short of any professional aspect of your career, you must be able to own up to it. Again, not Cons but challenges that make you great.
