Pros

Get to make an impact in the company itself and in the world with people in need. Get to hear about large customers being developed, the CEO making investor pitches, and stuff like that beyond the limited world of software/engineering, because it's a small office, we work together every day with ops/sales people. Get to work with a bunch of great people who are good at what they do.

Cons

Some noise pollution in office, need to wear headphones to focus sometimes.

Good for career growth. I love how they look at experience rather than the educational background for supervisor levels.

No annual growth of payment, no retention bonus or anything that you can look forward to for being loyal.
