Pros

Laid back env, OK compensation package, good technology, smart set of engineers but not well motivated, seems like a good place for retirement.

Cons

Top heavy, lack of vision/execution, too many decision makers but too few who can make a decision. No bonus to employees (only directors and above qualify for a bonus).

Pros

Fast paced environment kept me on my toes. Wonderful people to work with, especially in my group. Great compensation. Flexibility.

Cons

I was a casualty of the Avago acquisition. This is a winning situation for Avago's bottom line and a challenging situation for everyone else. Whether you are one of the numerous people let go, or one of the few people that now work for Avago, ECD (Emulex Connectivity Division). More changes to come with Avago acquiring Broadcom. More people's lives shaken to the core.

Pros

Decent salary and benefits. Strong executive management in Engineering. Approachable senior executive leaders who will engage in conversations you might be interested in. Solid corporate solutions strategy.

Cons

Too much focus on pro-bono OEM customizations resulting (seemingly) in thinner margins. Difficulties in articulating the corporate vision into actionable execution. All the pieces are/were there, just didn't have the global thinking mid-level management to shore up the end to end value add solutions. Difficult for remote employees to progress in their career.
