Pros

Clean environment, new building, 12 hour shifts, when available bonuses for picking up shifts, translators available 24/7 virtually, Pyxis for medication

Cons

Low pay compared to area except RTs, cancelled regularly, lack of education especially around emergencies, management ignores input of staff, management lies regularly about changes or opportunities available, understaffed regularly due to call offs where there’s no punishment, hierarchy favoring RNs over LPNs, RTs, techs and all other staff, 80%+ of techs are non CNA or not medically trained, schedule made 2 months in advance, no room for growth, nurses do ALL their own vital signs, accuchecks, INRs, bladder scans, and blood draws

Pros

you'll build tough skin thats for sure.

Cons

High racism in house. A multitude of corruption in the admin department. They are Anti-Gay or LGBTQ and the staff is very uneducated. They cover up deaths here like no tomorrow It's a complete poop show. They also have gender wars and project it on patients and staff. I'm typically drained in a days work just because of all the toxicity going on in house. The entire company needs to be investigated.

Pros

Benefits start day 1 You can use your holiday PTO 30 days before the holiday or up to 60 days after. The employee engagement committee typically try to make the environment fun by the activities and things they do. As far as the coordinator role, it can be a lot at times especially if the facility is short staffed.

Cons

I feel like the coordinator role doesn’t have clear direction. I believe the tasks given is more of a “nurse manager assistant” who does the scheduling than just the scheduling coordinator. The lay doesn’t match that. This role needs clear direction. There is always changes and not enough communication. Also, the attendance policy is very strict. There isn’t much opportunity in the Admin positions.
