Pros

+ Clinical Nurse Manager protects us + Epic EMR is best in class + The facilities are average

Cons

+ Everyone seems to be looking for a job elsewhere + Feels like this place is two months away from an employee death spiral + Compensation is abysmal, lags inflation by a long shot + Every staffing decision is based on Huron Consulting and every compensation decision is based on ECG Consulting - they might as well acquire the organization because they are running the place + Senior leadership is rudderless and seems to intentionally antagonize the staff with confusing and disruptive restructures + the North/South strategy lasted for about five minutes, and now the strategy is to eliminate as many management positions as possible + the providers are getting FED UP + It is impossible to call anyone on the phone, every request requires a ticket. I have several tickets sitting for over 5 months, I kid you not. + If you work inpatient here, anticipate your shift getting cut once every two weeks, if not more frequently

Unsafe for New Grad RNs

Pros

The facility is very nice.

Cons

I worked there as a new grad rn and the units at this hospitals do not have any PCT’s. Meaning, as a new grad you are expected to do the job of 2 people. Being given 5-6 patients with no help from any techs felt impossible as a new head RN. And management didn’t believe in me at all from the start. All they did was tear me down everyday.
