Horribly run company

Pros

Good benefits and remote work options

Cons

Senior management is entirely disconnected from the problems on the ground. Look at the reviews on this site from the last year or so to get a better idea of why - this company has a lot of problems and senior managers don't seem to be interested in addressing them.

Nice people, but wrong strategy.

Pros

Flexible with working remote or from home. Good experience for first job out of college, you'll get to wear a lot of hats and take on responsibilities quickly. People working there are really friendly. The mission of GHG reduction is rewarding.

Cons

Obsessed with keeping costs down and working hours high. If you work 8 hours a day, you only get two weeks off (total including holidays, vacation, and sick time). You can give yourself more time off if you work more than 8 hours a day because they measure you against an annual total of 2040 hours. Everything feels like a fire drill because management lacks proper training and standard processes.

Pros

-Excellent work-life balance. You work the hours you want as long as the job gets done well. -Very friendly and supportive co-workers who practice the president's message of "kindergarten skills." I very rarely had a problematic co-worker. -Great growth opportunities. Company is growing fast and I see employees often carve a path towards new positions that fit with their interests. About 25% of the employees get promoted each year! -Salaries are getting more competitive each year, average increases outpacing Bay Area's cost of living. -Although some other companies within the industry sometimes pay more, they demand more hours. Most employees here seem to work 40-43 hours a week, very low for the industry. -Strong strategic planning skills. The company knows exactly where it wants go next 5 years and consistently meets or exceeds targets. -Becoming a giant in the industry, hasn't had missteps that competitors have had. -Leadership is very supportive of people - transparent with emphasis on equity and diversity, and very supportive of employees with children.

Cons

-Had some growth pains that have mostly been smoothed out. -Earlier reviews mentioned "2040 hours" annually, which is not a hard minimum expectation or a real policy but average working hours for planning purposes (around ~40-43 hours a week).
