Pros

Good interaction with the coworkers and some co. events.

Cons

To make it in the co. you need pretty face and chest. Don't trust the owner when he says he will take care of you and your job is secure. At anytime they feel like they don't need you or you anger them off. They will try to get rid of you or push you out. They speak about improving the culture but they do the opposite and moral goes down.

Unhealthy Work Environment, Unrealistic Workload, Unpleasant Managers

Pros

Not much to be desired at Engrain aside from the office being right on the lightrail. Company doesn't provide free RTD EcoPasses but does give you discounted fare options. The ground-level workers are friendly, knowledgeable, easy to collaborate with, but many are planning their escape routes.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations caused by an extreme volume of work. The insufferable CEO is very focused on increasing market share even though we can barely keep up with the current volume at our current staffing levels. The CEO and his fiancee use remote work as a scapegoat for poor communication, even though communication has always been problematic across teams due to how busy everyone is as well as the turnover rate on the production/implementation side. While the normal work week should be 40 hours, you can expect to regularly put in 60 hour weeks at Engrain and still not be done.

Growing Pains Galore

Pros

Decent pay for the job title.

Cons

One of the worst companies I’ve worked for. The work life balance is non-existent. Managers will tell you not to work too much, take care of yourself, etc. meanwhile the workload is way beyond the contracted 40 hours a week, unpaid, and there are consequences if work is not completed. Most employees seemed over worked and unhappy. HR will send you links to time management and work-life balance “resources” rather than addressing the issues you bring to them. The company is seeking major market share without proper staffing. Overall, the employees seemed to have a negative view of their jobs which can be really taxing on your mental health. HR alluded to the CEO being kind of a jerk during the interview- I should have listened.
