Pros

Remote work, Flex Schedule, PTO

Cons

I loved my job when I first started in 2018. We got decent bonuses, reasonable metrics to be met and they tried to take care of their employees. Now all they care about are numbers and cutting cost everywhere at the expense of the employees. I loved this company and worked hard. I always met or exceeded my productivity and quality standards and only received a $1 raise in 5 and half years!! Many new hires with no experience were brought on making significantly more. Whenever anyone brings up compensation, we are shamed and told we should be thankful we have a job. I stayed for longer than I should have because they made promises to raise our pay to $30 an hour. I should’ve known that was a lie. On top of low compensation, our workload’s constantly increased. Instead of them hiring staff with clinical experience, they made AR staff perform duties that we were not qualified to do so that they could save money. My director was also a bully and verbally abusive. There is no accountability for how leaders treat their staff and even after multiple complaints from myself and other employees, no action was taken. On multiple occasions she screamed at people, called them stupid and spoke ill of them in front of others and in meetings.

Pros

These reasons are based off my experience and I’m recent years, I don’t know that I could confidently say that these pros are still applicable. Opportunity if you’re willing to put in the work, regardless of having a degree or not. If you know your job, you can get promoted. At least in the past. Some great leaders at a director and senior director level although this is dwindling as more great leaders that helped found this company and it’s values leave. Several weeks of PTO Soon to be paid maternity leave in 2023. Remote work

Cons

I want to be honest and fair with these cons as Ensemble. Pay, it’s atrocious and borderline offensive. We can’t get new hires on for more than 15-16 an hour. That’s in a day and age where low to no skilled jobs (which this is not) pay much more. The company has been heavily outsourcing since 2020 to a global team in India which is fine however, its domestic members have yet to reap any of the cost saving measure that outsourcing brings. My bonus, along with others has been partial for the past 3 years with no explanation to why even though performance rating is the highest it can be. Merit increases average out to .30-.45 cents per year. This wouldn’t be as big of a deal to me if Ensemble didn’t continually tell us leaders to promote this aspect of the company when we get push back on pay from team members. If you are counting on the yearly merits, you’re going to be disappointed. Company culture prior to 2020, was great. It felt like a company that genuinely cared about each individuals well being and truly appreciated our contribution. Since then, Ensemble has gone full cold corporate. I get it, they blew up and became more successful than they probably ever saw themselves being however, with that growth, the company lost its personalization. We use to have connection with Shannon, the companies front woman. Now, we see the same person addressing a town hall of over a thousand employees that she is “hurt and offended” by her company asking for better and more equal pay. It comes across as very disassociated and arrogant if I’m being honest. I have a hard time hearing a millionaire tell the lowest levels of the company that they should be grateful for what they have. This company is not the be all end all and is very replaceable. Company refers to itself as a big family. Huge red flag but that’s just my opinion. Judson refers to the COO as his work wife, Shannon makes poor attempts to relate to the working class that come off as really disheartening. Compensation teams philosophy for ensemble in current state is that they can get more with less. This means if one person does not accept an offer for what Ensemble thinks is fair (getting low balled) someone else, often times more desperate will. We’ve had several leads take promotions this year with NO pay increase. That has been referenced when fighting for compensation change for individuals that are deserving which might I add, is often times an ask of an increase in cents, not dollars.

Pros

The Blue Ash Building is Beautiful

Cons

Working at Ensemble felt like a dream in the beginning, you were told " as long as you are hardworking you will get rewarded for your efforts". That is not what happened within this department. We have many associates who go above and beyond their work load, they get amazing reviews from clients and are always the first person management reaches out to when they need help with "special projects" but are yet to be acknowledged for their work. It is such a shame when you watch people come into the company with great talent and spark and it all goes to waste because management cannot figure out how to support them and keep them motivated. We have, on many occasions, requested an audience with senior leadership to discuss these issues but nothing. This is resulting in the best of the bunch looking for opportunities elsewhere. These are people who did everything Ensemble said they should do in order to get the recognition and support they deserve, they participated in all internal trainings (Workday and Edge), utilized HFMA membership to get more knowledge, took on responsibilities of other roles, have amazing relationships with clients and always got amazing reviews from clients, went above and beyond their job description to do things for management but still got the silent treatment from senior leadership for over a year. Oh yea...Favoritism is very evident here
