Pros

Corporate Training was very well done and organized. I felt that every time I went to a corporate training event as a trainee that I was getting closer to understanding how the business was run and how I wanted to grow my career outside of being an employee at a branch.

Cons

Essentially a sales position, dealing with angry customers 80% of the time and feeling like an uber driver. As a female in this position you "get used to" male customers making uncomfortable comments and are expected to drive those male customers/pick them up in the dark. You will also have to drive to sketchy neighborhoods. These "sketchy" neighborhoods include people shooting up drugs on the side of the road or gang-affiliated areas where you have to "find your store's cars." If you want to be successful, you need to cut corners by doing whatever it takes to make a "sale," this includes offering coverage that is not always necessary to the customer renting the car. Those that have a strong work ethic, who are smart, and want to grow within the company end up leaving after a short amount of time due to the lengths you have to go to if you want to work in a position that deals with upper sales, hr, risk management (basically outgrowing a branch employee position). If you want to get to this level in your career, you will grind between 1-3 years to get there and won't have a social life.

Pros

-Good team atmosphere - Will build character quick - Good management training - *Autonomy to run business and be creative (*To an extent) - Ability to establish yourself professionally - The test drive perk once you hit BM - Around and meet like minded, competitive co-workers

Cons

- no work-life balance - sell you the dream of crazy pay the higher you move up but that’s really reserved for very high performing ARM - dealing with rude and entitled customers is the majority - doesn’t really hold weight on the resume as you’d expect - very “good ole boy” clubish. Favoritetism is more key than talent and work ethic - very level is underpaid and they will have non problem cutting pay - can actually make less money in some promotions - they want you to drink the Kool aide and will be looked in a negative light if you don’t - will work min 54 hours a week up to 6 days a week - managers basically work 7 days a week with no extra pay or appreciation - very “what have you done for me lately” attitude. - again. I work life balance (this needs to be understood and accepted if you work here) - staffing will be low and upper management will just have you deal with it. - a lot of lying goes on from upper management - you will learn that overall dealing with the public is very hard and some people are very unreasonable. - Enterprise needs to be held accountable for the way they overwork, underpay their employees, they did tenured employees very wrong during the pandemic and cut the pay and increased work load to employees who stood it out for the pandemic. -

Pros

Discounted rentals Drive new cars Visit locations in your city you've never been before but don't care to visit.

Cons

*Hours are long *Workplace is toxic and everything is a politics game. *Sales environments are not for every personality type this is one of the worst next to car salesmen (trust your gut and go elsewhere if you are very introverted). *The turnover is high at the MT level because this is just an in between job not a career. So believe all the negative reviews. If you have no other prospects make this you very last desperate option. *It's not as prestigious as they make it appear. You will be working long hours in all weather conditions in a suite washing countless cars, helping entitled customers, moving non stop sometimes with no break and going home miserable for a long time. * If you don't resemble their upper management team your path and sacrifices are even worse and un-fulfilling. *when you calculate the overtime your pay is not high and likely equivalent to other entry level jobs.
