Pros

Great culture and people. Strong sense of "team" Meritocracy - high performance is recognized and rewarded High growth and lots of acquisitions means room to grow / advance in career Part of a winning team Very flexible work schedule, work from home, etc.

Cons

Fast-paced. The company moves fast. Change happens quickly and frequently, which can be stressful at times Company growth has outpaced some systems and processes, which need updating The free coffee is not my favorite

Great Place for Growth

Pros

It all starts at the top. DI has a highly engaged management team that truly loves what they do, who they do it with and the opportunities ahead for the company and its staff. It's not just communicated but can be seen in their actions that they are dedicated to fostering a great work and cultural environment. They do this by investing in programs that prepare employees to grow into new roles and disciplines. What is also evident is that they prefer to promote from within first so employees know they can move up or across departments easily. It's an exciting place to plant your flag because it is a fast growing company on the cutting edge of their industry. They recognize that in order to continue to grow, they must seek out and reward creative thinking. They have even created a platform where any employee can submit ideas on new products, processes, community events, etc. and the whole company can vote to bring those ideas into action. While this is an effective tool for gaining better understanding of where the company needs to focus, I have also seen this as a mechanism for identifying people who are passionate for change to lead those efforts. Another great tool the company uses are "fireside chats" where they give an in-depth look into every aspect of the company to all employees around the globe. They also open up a Q&A session where employees can submit questions anomalously or live in person with no topic off-limits. I actively seek out great people to bring to this company because I'm so proud to be a part of this king of organization.

Cons

The company is growing very quickly, often through acquisition. This has created some growing pains while we try to integrate offices, people, products and cultures.

Very glad you find working at DI to be such a good experience. Couldn't agree more on how focused we need to be on making the integration of acquisitions as positive as possible. I definitely think we're learning with each one and improving. Wise words on both growth and innovation too - we must continue both if we're to be everything we can be. I'm confident we'll figure it out together as one team.

Pros

Industry thought leadership, great products and constant improvement/development to bring new solutions to customers. Everyone works well together, collaborates and moves well at a fast pace to accomplish the ever-present goals.

Cons

Very high stress, fast pace to the point where many are running on fumes, burnout rate is high in customer-facing roles(not sure about product). Rewards, promotions, and compensation are talked about but dispersed sparingly. For those who are top performers expect your quota to be increased on a regular basis, you will have to do more to make the same amount. As others have stated the "Bro" culture is pervasive and if you are not a part of the club there will be no promotion.

Thanks for the feedback and sharing the concerns. Sometimes its hard to be completely transparent around the inter workings of a business but there are a few things we can shed light on. I understand the perception sometimes of burnout but DI measures attrition for all departments and right now its measured in the low single digits. Regarding quotas, as a former sales rep I understand but what I was more concerned about was my take home. Not OTE, not quota not base but what do I actually make in a year. I can tell you that our reps are making more money today than any given year in recent history; and thats a good thing. The company grows when individuals grow. Finally, we have a culture that promotes people that show true leadership and a desire to grow individuals and teams. I realize how hard it is to see how that’s measured but we put a ton of faith and trust in our leaders. The team has a mantra we follow: “we don’t choose leaders, they choose to be leaders”. We promote from within for the best possible person to be the right person to invest in our people. In fact we have promoted more than 25 people into leadership roles within the last 18 months alone. We are deliberate around investing in our people and have a sense of pride around it.
