      Decent place to work, but significant work load

      Pros

      Total Compensation package is good. Flexible work hours and location. Managers pretty much let you create your own schedule and work from where you want to as long as you are getting your job done. Direct manager really cares about his team and will take the time to mentor them. Company will give you as much responsibility as you want to sign up for. Newer industry so technology is still evolving which is interesting.

      Cons

      Significant distrust between operations and capital projects team due to past (>2 years) events. You have to CYA yourself in everything you do. People will throw other people under the bus at the first chance they get. This cultural behavor goes all the way up to senior leadership. All company decisions are made by the operations department. Not a whole lot of collaboration between different departments. There is a lot of turnover due to burn out or feeling unappreciated for the time and effort they put in. A lot of decisions seem to be based on people's opinion instead of data.

      The Fast and Furious

      Pros

      Being in the renewable energy space is incredibly motivating, and it gives real purpose to the work we do every day. The team atmosphere at Enviva is another major plus. There’s a strong sense of collaboration, mutual respect, and shared goals across the organization. People are genuinely supportive of one another, and that creates a work environment that’s both energizing and inclusive.

      Cons

      Enviva has a fast-paced work environment. Things can move quickly, and priorities may shift with little notice. While this can be exciting especially with a new facility in Epes coming along, it does require a high level of adaptability, time management, and resilience. I also wish the company placed more of an emphasis on diversity and inclusion, but I understand that this is case by case as Enviva has multiple locations.

      A good company with a bright future

      Pros

      - A mission you can stand behind. - Fair pay within market range. - Colleagues that care about the work they do. - Down to earth leadership, approachable and kind. - Investors that are involved in the day-to-day operations of the company and who make it a point to learn about the people.

      Cons

      There's still some work to be done. Progress isn't made overnight, but I feel confident that we will get there.
